Description
A portrait of a little blonde-haired, blue-eyed boy. He has the Autism colors - blue, yellow, red and green - painted on half of his face. This painting was inspired by my son who is autistic. It doesn’t look exactly like him but I also wasn’t aiming for that. To make it unrecognizable will allow it to represent any child.
Just as the blue, yellow, red and green Autism paint is a part of this boy’s face, it does not identify his face. Likewise, Autism is a part of you but does not define you. Rather, it’s the courage and the “pressing forward” through the difficulty and challenge.
SECOND PLACE tied-win in the ART FOR SOCIAL CHANGE contest on 6-27-23.
