A magnificent rose graces the garden at the historic Home of Peace, Oakland, California, a Christian bed-and-breakfast and conference center established in 1893.
This HDR image is the result of eight photos of varying lighting merged into one image, capturing the delicate color gradations and nuances of gorgeous varying hues of this stunning blossom.
Over 24 hours of work have been invested in this piece of art, fine tuning by hand the lighting and color control adjustments to get it to where I am satisfied with the result.
It is truly a product of the head, heart and hand.

Artwork notes::
Embedded in the top right-hand corner is the Hebrew acronym for "B'ezras Hashem" [ ב ס " ד ] meaning "with God's help". It is a reminder to me as an artist of my dependence on the Almighty, the Originator of all creativity. This is a similar acknowledgement used by great artists like Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel who signed their work with the Latin phrase, "Soli Deo gloria" which means, "Glory to God alone".
The "Fine Art America" watermark in the full resolution preview will not show in the final print/product purchased.
