Description
In Kaikoura on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand you can make the 8-hour return hike up to Mt Fyffe. Even though we started quite a bit later than we wanted, we thought we could make it. However, the hike was mostly along a dirt road with few to no viewing spots along the way. It was quite warm and the whole thing was turning into a hot sweaty slog. The needle on the ‘fun-meter’ was not showing much movement! When we came to this viewpoint, we decided to have our lunch and just enjoy the view of the valley and the Pacific Ocean from here! Next time…maybe we’ll invest in a heli-hike!
