For 30 years now I've been using my photography as a foundation for my artwork.   It all started with a Pentax K1000 film camera.   Now, I'm using Canon equipment to photograph the wonderful birdlife of the Lowcountry.   There are many images I've taken that never turn into original oil paintings, but stand by themselves as artwork.   These images all represent special moments I've experienced in nature.   I love the challenge of bird photography and the thrill of capturing the unexpected or the beautiful.
