After a hiatus, I returned to 'my roots' in drawing and painting three years ago.   The images that existed in my previous work (Barbie, Frieda, the circus, paperdolls, goddesses..) have blended into my new abstract paintings.   I use collage, mixed media and acrylics to create layers of colorful shapes and forms guided by my subconscious expression of what I know.   I find this the most exciting and difficult form of painting I've experienced.
