Wendy is a native Louisianian who was raised on the lovely bayous--about 45 minutes south west of New Orleans. Recently, she rekindled her love of creating and is expressing malnly themes of love and spiritual storytelling through her art. 'The Heartbroken Hippie' Angel is her predominant subject. Her earlier angels were often wounded but we're unable to perceive their own injury. The perception of injury is an illusion of the human mind--only love is real. As of late, her angels are often music inspired.
Unconditional love (11:11) themes incite her romantic nature and this is also something she wishes to convey in art as she branches out to test other mediums of art and storytelling.
The nudity depicted is not for the sake of eroticism, but to show vulnerability and to have the subject be fully exposed--metaphorically speaking. Her intention is not to be vulgar, but to show the fragility of humanity along with the relentless determination of inner spirit.
