This photo is of a recent Art Gala. Vicki is a portrait artist, art instructor, and also enjoys experimenting with texture in Acrylic paint, using vivid colors to capture the movement and emotion prevalent in dance, and sports. Butterflies and Dancers are her favorite subjects.
She is a self-taught artist who has pursued additional instruction and experience to develop her skills, through art workshops, classes, and regular interaction with other artists.
She was accepted for, and recently returned from an 'artist in residency' retreat, overlooking gardens, the simple setting which is designed as a space for for concentrated contemplative work and reflection.
