I'm a creative artist at heart. I paint mainly in watercolour, and my main inspiration and orientation in recent years has been to create for children and their families. I am inspired by Waldorf education which has also had a dramatic impact on my own life, and strive to enrich and enhance children's lives through art that is innocent, lovely, colourful, created through natural flowing media, depicting nature, story and fairy-tale content in a way that can create a wholesome, creative environment for children, which leaves plenty of room for their imagination to develop and expand – something which our technological era sadly threatens to squash out of existence. This is something I feel very strongly about and want to do my best to counteract through my art and stories.
I'm also a lover of language and creative writing. Next to translating a number of books, songs and articles From English and German into Hebrew over the years, I have been writing, illustrating, designing and self-publishing my own children's books for the past 10 years. Many of my paintings for those books were successfully sold as greeting cards even before the books were published and many of my paintings on this site have been made to illustrate children's books I have created and published. I'm very happy to tell that my very first children's book 'Toonsy and Mirley – A Story of Two Squirrels' will soon become available in English on Amazon.
I also studied musical composition in Israel and Northern Ireland as well as the Werbeck School's 'Uncovering the Voice' method of singing, which led me to also create two unique lullaby CDs aimed at enriching parent's repertoire of lullabies to sing to their children with lovely lullabies from around the world.
I have a special love for birds and certain cute little creatures such as squirrels, washing bears (raccoons) and water turtles, as well as gnomes, fairies and angels, and this is definitely reflected in the content of both the stories I write and the paintings I create to illustrate them.
I am a mother of two and reside in Kibbutz Harduf in the North of Israel, co-founded by my parents when I was 12-14 – a community that is centered around organic farming as well as the Waldorf education, and it has the first and largest Waldorf school in Israel.
