Hi all.......
I work in encaustics.....it's not a very well known medium.....basically it's working with molten wax and painting by hand, using various specialist tools....
None of my work is digital (people often think encaustics are, as they can't imagine quite how we get the effects we do...)
Do come over and have a look at my gallery if you have the time.......it's quite an interesting medium....I'd be happy to let you know more about it.
I like creating new techniques and experimenting......I always have an image in my mind that I'd like to create......then the challenge is whether I can do it in encaustic.......sometimes it works....................quite often it doesn't lol :S
Also, I'm looking forward to being part of the FAA community (you have some great art here, as well as interesting forums and even more interesting people!!)
(Yes, I have been looking in, trying to get a 'feel' before flinging myself in head first)
I've been completely inspired by the artwork I've already seen here and almost feel like I know some of you already through the excellent forums.....no more to be said..............just looking forward to getting involved with FAA :D
