Hello and welcome ..
A little about me .. my name is Terri Mills. I was born and raised in Warren, Ohio .. in '99 hubby and I relocated to the sunny gulf side of Florida!
I have had a love of drawing for as long as I can remember, my favorite subject is dogs, I like to take photos of dogs, then draw their portraits. My favorite medium to work with is graphite pencil, but I have also worked with colored pencil, charcoal, charcoal pencil, pastel pencil, and I dabble with watercolor. I am also an amateur photographer. Besides dogs - I also love to photograph nature, birds, wildlife, insects and flowers.
I am largely self taught but have had the opportunity to learn from a few instructors and fellow artists along the way. Some of which are: Douglas Land - St. Petersburg, FL. (basic drawing), Richard Jansen - St. Petersburg, FL. (basic watercolor and drawing), Chuck Hager - Pinellas Park, FL. (intermediate to advance watercolor), Barbara Lewis - Pinellas Park, FL. (scratchboard), Judy Graham - Pinellas Park, FL. (basic colored pencil), Melissa Miller Nece - Dunedin, FL. (intermediate colored pencil and watercolor pencil), Mike Sibley - UK (graphite pencil) and JD Hillberry - Erie, CO. (charcoal, graphite and carbon pencil). Also, it's amazing what you can learn just by watching YouTube videos on art. I am a member of the Pinellas Park Art Society (PPAS) of Pinellas Park, FL. During my artistic endeavors, I have entered art exhibitions and Off Site Exhibitions in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida and have won several awards. My works can be found in private collections throughout the states.
