As a watercolor artist, I strive to share glimpses of the beauty in my environment through my artwork. I gain immense satisfaction in translating a typical scene into a study of value and color to produce a visual statement of my perception.
In sharing my vision of familiar subjects I hope to raise awareness of the simple beauty and touch the hearts of the viewers.
My chosen medium of watercolor is a joy to work with. It brings such pleasant surprises as the water flows where it wants to go. The glow from the transparency of the washes can be thrilling.
Born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, I am a graduate of McNeese State University in Lake Charles. My husband, Paul, and I have four sons who enjoy to the fullest the opportunities southwest Louisiana has to offer.
