I guess my style is I have no one style, I love diversity, pictures that say something most of the time, make you think outside the box, think beyond what's in front of you, a pot luck of creativity..that's me.

A bit about me...
Scott always had a appreciation for the beauty around him, how it got to where it's at. His interest in photography started to grow on a mtn biking trip to the mountains of North Carolina in 2004, biking to remote places and wanting to share what he sensed, felt and saw. His Kodak pocket camera was less than ideal but captured the experience. Shortly after that trip he moved up to a Panasonic pocket camera with a 10x zoom, more everything, features with more range in doing what I wanted to do all the while wanting to keep the price and weight down so being able to carry the camera biking with ease. 2010 taking 'Intro to digital photography' at the local community college he upgrade drastically to his first and current DSLR camera a Canon T1i and vastly grew in his knowledge. The larger file sizes allowed, speed of the camera and range of focus allowed him to grow his skills exponentially. He's still learning, expanding his knowledge and willingness to learn and start to venture into promoting and selling his work.

Being six foot five inches tall you get used to seeing things that others don’t and quickly develop a desire to share it. Scott Allison’s passion is keeping a close eye on the natural world around him and sharing the visions that he knows are rarely seen by others. Whether it be a macro of a wild lily opening at sunrise on a remote and misty mountain bike trail or a tight shot of 2 beach volleyball players fiercely battling it out high above the net—Scott finds inspiration and beauty in stories that cannot be conveyed in words and must be shown. As a long time volleyball player himself, he has an innate sense of where to be on the court and when to be there to get the perfect shot. He is able to personally connect with players through the lens and bring us onto the court to experience the energy, athleticism and thrill of being a player. Although the majority of his work is in color, Scott feels that black and white evokes the greatest emotion. Adding color allows him to express more fully the things he has seen and felt.
