Lindsay Rae is a contemporary Abstract and Mixed Media Artist from the West Kootenays of beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Emotionally charged and poignant, Lindsay Rae's art has been described as dark yet inspiring, it makes you question your own human awareness. Lindsay Rae's art is featured in many homes and corporate offices throughout Canada and the United States.
Each painting I create is a a copy of an image inside my imagination that has already been disintegrated into its basic components. Because the subject becomes purely aesthetic, it loses its power as an object and ceases to be a part of reality, transforming into something simultaneously hyper real and abstracted that resonate with people to question their own awareness.
My work is important because it reflects our own experience as humans in a modern world, where everything is filtered several times before we are able to process it. My art is a journey that I am enthralled by, in a daily pursuit of balance, curiosity and creating tolerance.
