My early paintings are impessionistic using oil on canvas.   I love the richness and depth of this traditional medium.   More recently I have been focusing on abstracts using acrylic on canvas which allows me to layer colors more quickly.   My artistic tendency and sense of composition was first expressed through photography but it is the magic of mixing colors on the palette and applying them creatively on the canvas that has fascinated me from the very first time I touched a brush.   I love variety and challenge in my work.   I look for exciting contrasts, shadows...more
