I've been making pictures of one sort or another for nearly 40years. Most of that time was spent working in television and film production. Other time is spent in the pursuit of art. And since I can't paint I use a camera and the digital darkroom.
I caught the photo bug while working for a chain of Northern California camera stores in the late 1970's. Soon after that I got involved in film and television production and started a production company with two partners. Some more years later we sold the company and I went on to work at local production studios as a producer and production manager. I also freelance as a writer, director, producer and editor.
Today, I am mostly retired from TV production and can spend more time trying to create images I want to hang on the wall. Sometimes it works.

My photography and digital art have received numerous awards from international communities of professional and amateur photographers. I am a contributing photographer at CivilWarAlbum.com and a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. My television and video work has also been honored with several awards, including a Telly Award, a Joey Award from the San Jose Film Commission and a Bronze Apple from the National Educational Film & Video Festival. My photography is in private collections throughout the United States and England.
