I am a young South African artist with an interest in creating and sharing art across a broad spectrum of mediums but my recent interests have been in digital art and painting.
I would consider my art to be a medium for spiritual exploration as well as self development and self exploration. Each art work has been influenced by different circumstances such as my surroundings, spiritual subjects, personalities or the music I am listening too at the time of creation.
My intention is to bring awareness with my art to the beauty around is in terms of colours, shapes, light and forms as well as to comment on human consciousness and society. I also aim to present and enhance light (positive, religious and pure) and dark (negative, evil and destructive) aspects of nature and our global society, from the perspective of the observer of nature and of human society. My intention is to bring beauty and awareness as well as to see how I can have a positive influence on society through art.
I see my art as an evolving creative journey that reflects my awareness and stage of life. Currently I have been engaged in learning about Krishna and the divine loving qualities of himself, his various manifestations as well as his devotees or followers.
In terms of my current paintings style I find myself enjoying to create a few versions of each art work as it progresses from early stages to final stages. Often the raw beauty of an unfinished painting has greater value that the final refined product. That is what I like to capture in my combination of digital and traditional art by creating a series of images of each art work as it continues to develop more detail and refinement.
