Maya is a 4th generation artist.   Her mother Irina Ohl was President of the Vermont Watercolor Society before she moved to France.   Her step grandfather, Harry Lane, has works in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum and was a WPA artist during the Depression.   Maya's great grandmother was a miniature painter in Munich.   Maya studied art at Dartmouth College and graduated in 1982.   She followed her passion by studying art with various teachers in St.   Louis, Texas, Washington State, Maryland and the Silvermine School of Art in...more
