I am a mom of three grown sons, two of which are fantastic artists and musicians. I spent time in the 1990's at Hinds Junior College in Raymond Mississippi taking different art and drawing courses such as figure drawing. I found these courses invaluable and that my skill as an artist really began to take off and take shape from that point. I also studied human anatomy and physiology and radiology. Understanding how the human body and skeletal system is formed and functions surprisingly gave me an invaluable advantage and tool in the painting and drawing of people. You wouldn't think the two are related but once I studied the human body something major clicked for me artistically in paintings of people. I have literally been painting and drawing since I was a baby. I still have watercolors I did when I was 2 years old. Art is my joy and lifetime passion. I have taken lessons and classes of various types throughout my life including ceramics. I have dabbled in everything from mosaics to tilework and collages. I enjoy engaging with other artists and enjoying the work and inspiration of the other artists in this community very much.
