Award winning Canadian Photographer John Bartosik, who studied at Toronto's Ryerson photo arts department was a commercial photographer serving corporate, industrial, tourism and institutional clients throughout North America. John's debut as a photographer initiated in Whistler, B.C.with the tourism industry. Surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Coast Mountains, John was inspired to continue his own personal photography, some of which was published in the first of three photo gift books titled Sea to Sky Country.
By 2003, John embraced the new archival technology to prepare and print his personal collection of original transparencies to digital files through high quality scans; 'The results produced brilliant, exquisite colour with razor sharp detail and longevity to boot. I capture light then digitally paint with ink to meticulously prepare my images on archival papers and canvas'.
To SEE is my journey. Perceiving through places, spaces and time. I acknowledge and respect the essence of life, nature and the energetic forces at play. There are moments in life when alignments of my perceptive faculties with elements around me reveal an
indescribable sense of wonderment in which I crudely attempt to capture its essence with a camera.
Through mindfulness and awareness of these unfolding alignments, the hidden is seen,
infinity is felt and I become enlightened.
