Music and Photography have always been intertwined with me . When I worked as a musician , photography was my hobby , and vice-versa .I spent my high school years in a dark room or at a concert , and whenever my friends needed a PR package for their band , I was there . Hence much of what I do is performance photography and live events . I spent much of the nineties as in house photographer for Connecticut Bike Week ,and since I played often at the local Biker bar , this too became an outlet .I spent years as photographer for the Singer /Songwriter Network doing promo and publicity shots for regional musicians , contributing to several dozen album /CD productions . .My portraits are usual candid , where despite loss of lighting and other controls , I work to bring much of the Spirit and Essence of the person into the frame . In many cases just maneuvering oneself to the right place at the right time becomes an adventure in itself ! Other times , one can find subtler stories within what at first glance appears a dead end . Enclosed here is a small sampling of work I think others might enjoy seeing band wise , bike wise , along with miscellaneous other sparks that caught my Eye .
