Jeremy Sams is a Christian artist from Archdale, North Carolina. He was raised in Farmer, N.C., with the Uwharrie Mountains and a rural country setting as his surrounding landscape.
Jeremy was born in 1977. He recognized his God-given talent for painting at the age of 16 and began his professional art carrer at age 19. 'It is my goal as an artist to replicate the beauty of God's creation and capture the majesty of His handiwork through painting. He is the ultimate artist and it is my obligation and privilege to honor Him with my work.'
Jeremy's art endeavors were reinvigorated in 2011 when he began plein air painting. 'Painting en plein air' is a French term for painting in the open air or painting from life. 'This helps me tremendously in being able to see color and values with more precision rather than relying on the exaggerated colors and values often found in photographs.'
Jeremy is currently a member of North Carolina Plein Air Painters, Charlotte Plein Air Painters, Triad Outdoor Painters, and Plein Air Carolina.
