I have always been a collector, of sorts, and found beauty and usefulness in discarded objects.   I grew up in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and from a young age I collected toilet paper rolls, candy wrappers, paper, napkins, and other various objects.   I have since upgraded my collecting skills to old books, sheet music, fabric scraps, receipts, and paper from old college assignments and numerous handouts.   I graduated from Upper Iowa University with a degree in art education, where I expanded my passion for realistic art to much more expressive and abstract styles.   I was able to combine...more
