I moved to Venice Beach,Ca. in the 60's with my family. I started painting when I was a teenager. I had very helpful art teachers in public schools. I took art lessons from Harvey Hetland in Pasadena when I was 15. I participated in a junior artist exhibit at the Pasadena Museam before it became Norton Simon Museaum and saw an Andy Warhol and Ellsworth Kelly exhibit and fell in love with art.
