Gabriela Valencia is a full time visual artist and violinist from Ecuador, with a focus on life experiences, surrealism, magic realism, spiritual art and Florida themes. Having studied classical violin, after College, Gabriela taught music and art in prestigious schools in Ecuador. In 2008 she moved to the Tampa Bay area pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming an independent artist.
Her artwork has been featured in Art Centers, art galleries, (solo shows and group shows) magazines and newspapers in the Tampa Bay area and Ecuador.
Gabriela traces spaces with shapes and colors in which the strength of the sea, the richness of earth and human beings are revealed in subtle ways with special emphasis on resilience and the gift of being a woman. Her art aims to empower and motivate women to raise awareness of the importance of women in today’s society and to inspire them through art
Using different mediums such as oil, acrylic and pastels, Gabriela takes all theses elements and delicately combine them, subtlety providing the observer a better comprehension of the outer and inner worlds as human beings in constant evolution.
