Emily Martinez grew up in Huntsville, Alabama surrounded by cotton fields.   ARTIST STATEMENT My goal as an artist is to paint from life the way I see it.   By translating my natural optimism into bright colors, wispy brush strokes and unified compositions, the result makes subjects look more pleasing than in reality.   I try making what is typically uninteresting, enjoyable.   I am richly blessed with an artistic ability, but I am nothing without my Creator.   He is my ultimate inspiration and holds my big picture.   To GOD be the glory!
