Dick Bobnick is a nationally and internationally acclaimed illustrator and portrait artist and has been the recipient of many advertising art and general art competition awards for over forty five years. His great versatility in creating near photo realistic portraits of famous actors, actresses, musicians, singers, politicians, celebrity montages of famous films and tv shows, action-adventure illustrations, glamorous pinups, sports art, religious and historical themed paintings has kept his work in demand by regional and national advertising agencies, corporations, public relations firms and publishers of books and collectibles.

Over the years Dick has created illustrations for General Mills, 3M Company, the U.S. Army, Northwest Airlines, Pillsbury Company, Green Giant, Editor-Publisher Magazine, R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, Elvis Presley Enterprises, AT&T, the United States Historical Society, the Franklin Mint, the Minnesota Orchestra, Sony Corporation, French Paper Company, the U.S.A. Cable Network, Rosemount Aerospace Corporation, Barbour Publishing Company, the Grand Ole Opry and Opryland, Onan Company and numerous other local, regional and national advertising agencies and corporations. Dick created the beautiful portrait series of George Washington, Abe Lincoln and Ronald Reagan for U.S.A. Today's special Ronald Reagan second inaugural edition and the original line portrait prints were presented to Reagan's cabinet. Dick also created the official portrait of golf legend Sam Snead for Snead's official P.G.A. Hall Of Fame portrait.

After twenty five years as lead illustrator at four major Minneapolis graphics studios Dick went on his own and opened his own illustration studio in 1990 to pursue his specialties. He created an official 50th Anniversary commemorative print of the Normandy Invasion commissioned and marketed worldwide by the U.S. Historical Society. He also created several Heirloom Collector plate series for the Franklin Mint commemorating the James Bond films, the Gunsmoke T.V. series, a portrait of Mother Teresa marketed worldwide as an Heirloom Collector plate and a front and back cover portrait of Marilyn Monroe for a special collectors' edition of the Joyce Carole Oates novel, BLONDE, based loosely on Marilyn's life, other commemorative plates honoring the Honeymooners TV series, the Lone Ranger radio, TV and movie series, golf legend Sam Snead and others.
