I grew up in Cajun country, far southwest Louisiana, where I spent time outdoors near our home wondering through the nearby grass prairies, swamps, and coastal waterways squishing mud through my toes and absorbing the sights, sounds and smells of the Gulf coast.
Today, I live in the big city of Houston, Texas with my wife and three children. The strong connection to the coastal waters has never subsided. So, it is not surprising that I often find myself returning to the waters edge, with my camera in hand, trying to capture the natural beauty I originally discovered as a young boy.
I've worked in the Information Technology field for over twenty years as an application developer and software manager. My technology background has provided me with a solid foundation that has helped me better understand and use the digital cameras, computers and software required to produce quality digital images.
Photography is a driving passion in my life and has provided me with a conduit which allows me to share with you the natural beauty I find.
I wish I would have found film photography more interesting and started my journey into photography much earlier in my life - C'est la vie.
