I began working towards a career in photography in 1992 when I borrowed a friends camera kit and shot a roll of film in a single day walking around San Francisco. (Nikon FE2, 20mm, 35mm, 50mm, 105mm macro, Thanks, Kurt). I soon discovered Fuji Velvia 50 and proceeded to shoot unknown hundreds of rolls over roughly the next decade.
My body of work here spans those early years as well as more recent digital efforts. I would describe my intended style as 'glossy travel brochure' though my primary market has always been reached through traditional stock agencies, and as such I was always willing to point my camera at whatever was in front of me at the moment.
I am learning to read Japanese.
I try to live by the philosophy 'Need Less'
