I hail from a family of artists. They are painters, musicians, writers, photographers, sculptors and craftsman. That is just the maternal side of the family. The paternal side includes inventors, photographers and artists. Initially, when I was younger, I looked for an artistic outlet that no one else in the family was interested in doing! Now, as an older and wiser person, I no longer feel the need to compete and have a unique artistic expression in my family. A little over a year ago I started to learn photography from my father, Hubert C. Koloseike. It has been a wonderful learning experience greatly encouraged by my father. At the same time I started learning how to paint with oils from my mother, Joyce Wattles.
