www.carenbestbierart.co.za Caren Bestbier studied Fine Art (Painting) at the Port Elizabeth Technikon from 1988 – 1992 under the tutorage of Vivian van der Merwe.   Caren prefers to work in watercolour, oil and acrylic, and the majority of her works are small, highly detailed paintings.   Upon completing her studies she immediately began teaching Art part-time at the Russell Road College to both adults and children.   In 1993 she held her first solo exhibition of paintings at the EPSAC Gallery.   Later in the same year she taught Art for 3 terms at Andrew Rabie High School...more
