Character Analysis:
As a professional actress, singer and dancer for nearly 18 years,
My favorite aspect has been the character analysis... tackling the story line of the characters in order for the audiences to be drawn in... to understand the characters fully.... to relate deeply and spiritually in order to evoke emotions has always been both challenging and rewarding.
Now, as a painter I continue developing characters and telling their stories together through pastels and most recently acrylics and oils... their stories are told in their eyes, their postures, and their movements. You are captured and again drawn into their passion, emotion... and story.
People say they are -captivated by her understanding of light and plays of shadow... with movement.-
I am honored and grateful to have been given this gift of applied art. Using it, I realize that it is truly a gift that has been passed down from generations that I respect and hold dearly.

After being diagnosed with Lupus in 2007, as a classically trained musician, my life shifted. Learning the power of what art can do in healing physically and emotionally has rejuvenated my spirit and continues to carve a path of a life I never imagined for myself. Being an advocate of expressive arts in all mediums, I encourage people in times of stress, trauma, illness, and loss, to engage in creative activities which can promote healing and wholeness in terms of engendering positive outlook, accessing inner resources, uplifting spirit, and seeing the possibilities inherent in life. Now as a certified art therapist and an International Art4Healing Facilitator, I have learned and hope to show that being creative is life-affirming and engages our capacity for wonder, hope and new beginnings even in the midst of great difficulty. Her pieces evoke passion, pain, loss, love but most importantly... hope.
