Brenda was born in Columbia, South Carolina, and began drawing at an early age.   After years of running a family-owned bakery, where sugar was her primary medium, she decided to take up painting.   She began by painting watercolor Christmas cards to send to friends and family members and quickly decided that this was more than just a hobby.   After a few years, a mentor encouraged her to try painting with oils and she became obsessed with the creaminess and blend-ability.   Vibrant color and expressive brushwork is the look she loves to paint.   She is known to paint...more
