Nature inspires most of my paintings. I look for unusual angle and composition, often zooming in on a subject to the point that it may not be recognizable anymore. Then the shapes and the colors become my subject. Close-ups of flowers are by far my favorite subjects to paint. Every painting, no matter how small, is like a journey that surprises you at the end.
