Though Angela Kathleen Stout was born in Gooding, Idaho, she was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving back to Boise in 1992. Since the year 2000, she has worked in representational and non-representational abstract with a variety of colors and subjects with the cohesive use of unusual and unique sculpted cloth, high relief textured 2D and 3D artworks. She is an accomplished artist with pieces in many areas of the U.S. and the world; is an elected member of the board of the Treasure Valley Artist Alliance; member of the Nampa Art Collective, Vivid Artist Spaces, and Gem Center for the Arts; owner of Paintings by AKS, LLC; and a Specialty Trainer of Art and Curriculum for IdahoSTARS State Licensing Program. She has been interviewed by Segmation Art Magazine, and has been excepted into many juried local and regional shows and exhibitions such as: Contemporary Art Projects USA - Art Basel Miami, Contemporary Craft Market in Pasadena, Wells Art Festival in Chicago, Wallowa Festival of the Arts , Joseph, OR, and will be continuing her artistic education through CWI and Boise State University.
