AJ'S STATEMENT:
I Grew up as a farm boy in PA, then moved to rural New England when I turned 17. I still love the simple life and now when I take a photo, I focus on the simplicity in each shot.
As much as I love going out and taking photos, the real magic happens when I upload the photo to my computer and play around with different textures until the photo starts to tell the story that was in my head when I took the photo. .
As for the titles of my photos, they are actually given the moment I take the photo. I have a notebook that I take with me and write what I was feeling when I captured the image.
My hope is that the viewer doesn’t just sees a tree, but goes a little deeper and thinks of a story behind the tree. That one may pause, if only for a brief moment, and the image strikes a memory within their own lives.
