'My purpose is to lure observers away from the vagaries of life by inviting them to experience moments of relaxation, tranquility, and occasional whimsy. Heavily influenced by Monet, I feel a painting is a partial glimpse into a scene wherein the viewer completes it by filling in the details. This process is evocative of sensations of romance, joy, and simple pleasures in life by literally pulling a being out of the distractions of the mind and into an echelon of carefree aesthetics. My paintings are incomplete without the contribution of the thoughts and perceptions of the viewer.'
