Mary Rogers is a South Carolina artist working primarily in graphite and colored pencils, oil painting and watercolor painting. Mostly self taught, Mary uses a realistic style to recreate the beauty found in God's world. Animals, flowers, and landscapes are her favorite subjects. Her inspiration comes visually from scenes in nature, dramatic lighting, colors and patterns found in everyday life. Special moments and memories have also inspired some of her paintings and drawings.
She has entered several art shows and competitions and won a few awards. She put her art work on hold for many years while raising a family, but in 2007 she rekindled that creative spark and started drawing again. She has contracted work with Amazing Designs designing artwork for embroidery patterns and was published in 'Rocky Mountain National Park, The First 100 Years.' She is also available for commissioned work, particularly pet portraits.
