I grew up in Northfield, Minnesota, the town of cows, colleges, and contentment. After attending the University of Minnesota, I moved to Western Washington State, where I lived for the next 30 years. During those years, we lived on Guemes Island, Samish Island, Fidalgo Island, and in the beautiful agricultural region of Skagit Valley.
