David C.   Lyons was born in Lancashire in the North West of England and has lived there all his life.   He paints mainly aspects of the area which at first may seem nostalgic but references have been gathered from current locations so everything is as it really is.   Old tractors rust away in the fields and cats sit in front of lace covered windows.   Chickens still play in the farm yards and cows still gaze over dry stone walls.   His work was recently described as having a 'feel good' factor.   He paints mainly in Alkyd Oils on heavily textured...more
