Howdy.   I grew up in the city and always wanted a horse, my parents would not buy me one so I started to paint them instead.   I had the choice between art college and horse college and chose horse college, which actually did help with art too.   I studied art on my own while in Vancouver and joined an art group in Enderby where I did sell some pieces, later moving to Medicine Hat where I sold some more.   Now I live in rural Alberta where I am not really part of an art community at all but do live on a small hobby farm.   Sales of art help support me and my critters.
