Title
Supermoon Rising Behind Clouds Above The Sea

Description
A super moon is essentially a full moon bigger than usual. This happens when a new moon nearly coincides with perigee which is the closest that the moon comes to the Earth in its elliptic orbit. Each year there are usually about two super moons. Depending on the time of the year the full moon happens it has different names, such as pink moon or flower moon.
In this photo the moon is partially covered with clouds. However it stills glows wonderfully in the night sky. Its colorful reflection can be seen into the calm sea waters.
I always find it relaxing and soothing watching a full moon quickly rise above the horizon. Because of the moon illusion the moon compared to the landscape looks enormous! I think its a perfect way to spend a warm summer night. This photo was taken at Sithonia of Chalkidiki in Greece.
