The Schooner Serenity departs from the Riverwalk Landing Pier at Yorktown Beach from May through early November, in Yorktown, Virginia. The Schooner Serenity was built in 1986 and can carry up to 24 passengers on day and sunset sails along the York River.
I decided to visit Yorktown Beach on this fall evening to see the sunset. Yorktown Beach was quiet on this fall evening; the sails were furled on the 65-foot Schooner Serenity. The sunset has created colorful clouds along the Yorktown River.
