Description

At each end of River Road there is a park. At this end of River Road is Snows Cut Park. When you immediately pull into the park all you can see is a small jungle gym for children to play on, with really not much to it. When you go a little farther into the park, you will come to a short to barrier made out of small logs. A simple lift of the leg will get you over. That is where you will climb down a short cliff to a beach overlooking a portion of the Cape Fear River.

That is where you will generally find families and children playing along the beach and in the water. There were a couple families around, but this is that moment of silence caught just as the sunset begins. That universal pre-sunset silence.

The beautiful town of Wilmington, NC is also known as "The Port City," because of its proximity to The Cape Fear River. This is the sun setting over a small portion of The Cape Fear River.
