Hi Patrick. This is great stuff! Is your work done in acrylics or oils? I am a Lake Worth, FL resident too. I do watercolors, but nothing on the scale of your artwork. You are incredible! Laura Kisaoglu

I love this! I did a painting a very long time ago, not the quality of this one, but of some of the same idea. I also painted a woman standing on a turtle back...I find that so interesting...wow...great work!

The artist should mention that this design was taken from Maxfield Parrish's 1930 calendar 'Ecstasy' where he painted his daughter standing in a similar position in a similar landscape (sans turtles).
Patrick Anthony Pierson replied:
In fact, I flipped Max's composition, used it as a template for my own, and stole Ecstasy's color palette, too. And to further exacerbate blatant examples of 'art thievery' such as this - and in so doing, lend a hand to the continued decline of modern art - I have just finished a new painting called 'Mermalien Quest' for which I stole designs and color palette from MY OWN 'Rapture and the Ecstasea.' Will this madness never end?

Beautiful! Was this inspired by Maxfield Parish? It has a Maxfiled Parish feel to it. I really love this one!!
Patrick Anthony Pierson replied:
You have the 'artist's eye,' Lara, for this painting was indeed inspired by a Parrish painting called, Ecstasy. (see it here: http://www.revilo-oliver.com/Kevin-Strom-personal/Art/esctasy.htm)
