Description
Travel on the Hilo Side of the Big Island, Hawaii, in Hawaii, I captured scene after scene of glorious color and dynamic water scenes. The sky remained a constant surprise to accent each view. In this painting, the man, protected in his broad rim had, looks outward to a diver 100 feet from the shoreline. Diving for fish along with a sparse team of divers. In the scene, I included 2 of the precious nene birds. They are protected here on the big island and are only found in Hawaii. I understand this goose like bird, is limited to about 3000. Signs throughout the island remind people of nene bird crossings. The impressionist style that I am using with my paints, only leads to a hint of other actual beauty. Check them out and help protect this bird species. This island is an amazing place, so I hope that I have captured some of the beauty to share with the viewer.
