Oxararfoss is a waterfall in Pingvellir National Park, Iceland. It flows from the river Oxara over the Almannagja. There is a path from the nearby car park leading up to it. The pool at the base of the waterfall is filled with rocks. Golden autumn light fills the scene. The long exposure enhances the serenity of the scene.
This waterfall is part of the Golden circle. It isn't that far away from the capital city of Reykjavik. Thus you may encounter many tourists who make a stop here before heading over to Gullfoss and the Geysers. It is worth to explore the area since the nature is very beautiful. If you are a fan of Game of Thrones TV series you might see some familiar places around here.
