The Pilot of the Bf109 was Joseph Priller , he was a Ace at the start of the Second World War ,he also survived the war and lived the rest of his life in Germany .The painting is based on a pilots Log Book account of a contact over the Channel.If you see a fullsize copy of this ie G-clay It was stolen from Tauranga New Zealand .Believed to be in England .
