Painting - Watercolor On Paper
Description
This is my first new painting of 2012 and it incorporates some interesting changes. I plan to use a palette of Daniel Smith paints for this year and this is the first to incorporate them. I have been a big fan of their Primatek series and this is my first attempt at using watercolor paints from their normal line. The paints are vibrant, highly concentrated, and great to manipulate and work with. This original piece is 14.25"x10.25" in size and is painted on Arches 140# cold-pressed paper.

Hello Ken, Question: what new paints? Colour appears very rich.
Ken Powers replied:
I am going to use an all Daniel Smith palette this year just for a change of pace. Their paints are extremely concentrated, granulate well, stay workable a bit longer than what I have been using, and are a ton of fun to use. Plus, I can get them quickly since Daniel Smith is located in Seattle.
