Description
An up close view of the lens that casts light from the Jupiter Lighthouse on Florida's Southeast Coast. A Fresnel lens, it was made in Paris by Henry-Lepaute and is said to be the oldest existing first order Fresnel lens in the state.
The light can be seen by ships at sea for 24 miles.
