One website lures you to the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska with the following: “The forests of coastal southcentral Alaska are atmospheric, fresh and alive. On the Kenai Peninsula…moody and lush low-lying forests nestle up against towering peaks and ancient glaciers.” Sounds enticing. But those temperate rainforests, the most northerly in the world, get 55-80 inches of rain a year. What that means is a lot of days with solid gray skies! So the one day when I saw a tiny patch of blue sky and some definition in the clouds, not to mention still water and great reflections, I just had to stop at Kenai Lake for some photos!
